Swallow Cliff Woods March 26
We nearly lost this day to rain as well - the rain diminished as nine o'clock approached, and stopped by ten. Nervous looks at weather apps gave us enough confidence to go ahead and cut, burn, and herbicide.
This was the last of five consecutive weeks at Swallow Cliff. Now we move to a once-a-month schedule for the near future. We've finished clearing brush along the yellow trail between the parking lot and the trail junction; can't wait to move farther down the slope.

Super turnout this morning! Newly licensed herbicider Sheri Moore had her first turn at stump-painting and chased targets across a hillside at the south end of the preserve. Thanks, Sheri, for your diligence!
Thanks also to first-time volunteers Diane, Edith, Fran, Lauren, and Mike. We got a mass of brush cut, hauled, and burned.
