We had a large group on this one, with several people from our Swallow Cliff days, about a dozen from Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, the Friends of the Forest Preserves Palos crew, and our regulars. Cutting brush within a shout of Old Country Lane, we cleared a large area adjacent to our last Pioneer work site. Looking good over there - I need to get back for an after photo as I had to leave before all the work was finished.
McClaughrey Springs April 2
Back to the honeysuckle just north of the multi-use trail. We had another active group, expanding the honeysuckle-free zone (we hope) both north and east. Lovely morning, willing fire, what more could we ask?
