Kathy Bruch's Atrium Landscape chainsaw crew came to help, as did a team from Friends of the Forest Preserves. They put a lot of stuff on the ground, all of which had to be dragged to the fires and burned.
Maybe that's why Joe recently was overheard wishing Santa would send some strong, hard-working volunteers to our heavy winter workdays. Someone was listening; we had three of our many Kevins (Kevin C, F, & G), Jim from Thatcher Woods, John Marlin, Doug, Margaret, Kathy, all the usual crew, lopping and tossing and doing a terrific job. Thanks to everyone for their hard work!
The following day Bob Arentz hosted a smaller workday, also at Cap Sauers, working near the Visitation Trail clearing brush.
