Explore Willow Springs Woods
Willow Springs Woods glows in autumn, moving from lush green
summer to the more muted tones of winter. With woodlands and wetlands,
rolling hills and steep ravines, this preserve is one of many treasures in the Palos region.
Learn what makes this area so special, and what we're doing to keep it that way.
Come to Willow Springs Woods on Saturday, October 13. Walk with our stewards as they discuss the plants
and animals found here. Get 'hands-on', if you wish, with a little brush cutting or plant identification. Join us for snacks at the fire, and hear about leadership opportunities and ways to get involved.
Saturday, October 13, 2018: 10 a.m. - 12 noon
Meet at the Willow Springs Woods Picnic Grove, on the east side of Flavin Road/Willow Springs Road (104th Avenue/), one block south of Archer Avenue in Willow Springs.
We'll have introductions and refreshments at 10 a.m., and the walking tours begin immediately after.
